- Base Duty: 16%
- Section 301 Tariff: +7.5%
- Fentanyl Surcharge (China-specific): +20%
- Reciprocal Tariff: +10%
Total: 53.5% → 200* 53.5%=$107
Wait—what about the “$800 duty-free rule”?
- Old T86 Rule: Terminated on May 2, 2025.
- New NT86 Rule: Replaces T86 with stricter terms:
- All low-value parcels (from China/HK) must file electronically via CBP’s ACE system.
- Tariff Formula: 54% ad valorem OR $100 flat “mail tax” (whichever is higher).
→ Every U.S.-bound parcel now has a $100 minimum duty!
